Buddo Secondary School

Buddo Secondary School was founded by Mr. Muwonge Lawrence Matovu and started operations in February 1991 as a mixed, day and boarding secondary school for both O’ and A’ Level.

This school is managed by a board of directors, who are experienced educationists and a competent board of governors. Students participate in the management of the school through democratically elected prefects’ body and a student’s council.

Buddo Secondary school is located near Kisozi trading centre, Wakiso District. Branch off the Kampala Masaka Road, take Buddo Naggalabi Road OR follow Kisozi Road 2Km Masaka Kampala Road, Branch off at Kitebi Trading centre.

Buddo Seconday School

Our history

Buddo SS opened its gates on 4th/Feb/1991 with ten students in a humble setting on Buddo Hillside, Kyengera Town Council in Wakiso District.
It was founded by profound, resilient and professional Educationists headed by Mr. Muwonge Lawrence under the guidance and Chairmanship of Mr. Mujumba John Bosco the Chairman Private Schools Association in Uganda then.
Buddo Secondary School is a privately owned institution fully registered with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Sports as a Boarding Mixed “O” And “A” Level Secondary School.
Buddo Secondary School acquired its Selection Code issued upon its registration by the Ministry as 1507.

Our Religious Beliefs

The school is interdenominational. Students attend prayers according to their religious affiliation declared by their parents on admission. E.g. Protestants have a chaplain, Catholics have a chaplain, Muslims attend Juma prayers every Friday and Adventists are also catered for as well.

Sch Administration

• The Headteacher, Mr. Muwonge Lawrence Matovu is the Head of Administration at Buddo Secondary Sch. • He is assisted by the Deputy–Headteacher, Mr. BukenyaDeogratias. • The Main Director of Studies at Buddo Secondary Sch is Mr. Ssenabulya Livingstone. • He is assisted by Mr. Gonzaga Kyakulumbye who acts as the Assistant DOS at “O”-Level. • Mr. Kinene Gerald Katende, acts as the Assistant DOS at “A”-Level.

Buddo ss is a school for high qaulity education and talent such as music, drama, and sports(indoor and outdoor games). This school is a mixed boarding secondary school for O’ and A’ level students.
